The Sainte-Anne Singers completed the second half of their 2005 exchange with the John Laing Singers in two highly successful joint concerts in Hamilton and Oakville.

The Sainte-Anne Singers joined twelve other Montreal choirs in a celebration of religious music at the Notre-Dame Basilica. Margo Keenan conducted some 700 singers for one of the five massed choir selections, the Mozart "Laudate Dominum".

The group sang for an audience of 350 on the occasion of this major celebration.
Requiem for Nine-Eleven on VPT 
June and September 2003
In collaboration with the Montreal Chamber Orchestra, the Sainte-Anne Singers presented Gabriel Fauré's Requiem in a concert commemorating the events of September 11, 2001. This concert was aired on Vermont Public Television on September 9 and 11, 2003.

CBC Choral Competition
April 2002
The Sainte-Anne Singers were one of two choirs in Quebec to reach the semi-finals of the prestigious CBC Radio Competition for Amateur Choirs in the chamber choir category. We finished in the top six choirs nationally.
Concert with the Montreal Chamber Orchestra
June 2001
In our third collaboration with this fine orchestra, we presented John Rutter's Magnificat under the direction of Wanda Kaluzny. The work, featuring SAS soprano soloist Janet Harris, was enthusiastically received by a capacity audience at McGill's Pollack Hall.
SAS sings Hampton Avenue
May 2001
At our spring 2001 concert in Orleans, we had the great pleasure of meeting Debbie Fleming, director of the well-known Toronto a cappella septet, Hampton Avenue. We performed Debbie's sizzling Cuban-inspired merengue, Baila, and her arrangement of HA singer Larry Folk's moving ballad, The Gathering. Debbie subsequently wrote a salsa, called Bing Bang, dedicated to the "spicy senoritas of the Sainte-Anne Singers". Our audience was able to sample its flavour during our spring 2002 concert series.
Montreal Choral Festival 2001 - another win!
On April 1st, SAS came first in the advanced category of the Montreal Choral Festival. We shared this award with the superb Ensemble vocal Joseph-François-Perrault, finalist in last year's CBC Radio National Competition.

SAS was delighted to be invited for the third time to sing at the MMFA as part of their annual Christmas concert series.
Montreal Choral Festival 2000
In March 2000, the Sainte-Anne Singers competed for the third time at this prestigious competition sponsored by the Alliance Régionale des Chorales de l'Île de Montréal (ARCIM). For the second time, we came first in the intermediate category, and were warmly received by a hall full of choral music enthusiasts. We also benefited from individual commentaries by the judges (Peter Schubert of Montreal, Henri Schellenberg of Winnipeg, and Monique Richard of Moncton).
Christmas 1999 with the Montreal Chamber Orchestra
In addition to our regular concert season, we presented the Vivaldi Gloria with the MCO to a full house at Pollack Hall, as part of the orchestra's Laureates concert series. SAS singers Janet Harris and Margaret Livingstone were soloists.
A First for the Sainte-Anne Singers
June 1999, after our regular spring programme, marked a departure from the world of a cappella for the SAS. Wanda Kaluzny, director of the Montreal Chamber Orchestra, was presenting a concert series called "Explorations", featuring guest performers from Russia, Greece, Israel, the Netherlands, and Canada.
The Sainte-Anne Singers, guest artists from Canada (!), performed Schubert's Mass in G Major at Pollack Hall, and revelled in the novel sensation of singing with a superb orchestra. SAS singers Janet Harris, René-Michel Paquet, and Murdock McFarlane were soloists.
Montreal Choral Festival April 1999
The Sainte-Anne Singers were delighted with their second-place finish in the advanced category of this competition. They received strong words of encouragement from judges Iwan Edwards (Montreal), Jean-Pierre Guindon (Montreal), and Mark Sirett (Kingston). The choir had placed first in the intermediate category in 1996.
